Lady of Elche

This model has been taken from the Lady of Elche. The Lady of Elche is one of the most representative sculptures of ancient Iberian art. It was discovered in 1897 at the archaeological site of La Alcudia, near the city of Elche. It is a female bust carved in limestone, dated to around the 4th century BC, notable for its detailed headdress that frames the face with large lateral coils. The figure also wears complex necklaces and ornaments that reflect the high artistic level of Iberian culture. Her serene expression and frontal gaze convey solemnity and mystery, and it is believed that she may have represented a high-ranking woman or a deity. Some studies suggest that it may have had a funerary function, supported by the cavity found at the back of the sculpture. After its discovery, the sculpture was sold and taken to France, where it was exhibited for years at the Louvre Museum. In 1941, it returned to Spain as part of an exchange of artworks and is currently housed in the Museo Arqueológico Nacional. This model was captured through photogrammetry and optimized by Artmonite during a visit to Madrid in 2026.
