Quetzalcoatl
€3,50
This model was taken from a sculpture depicting the god Quetzalcoatl. This god, also known as the "Feathered Serpent" was one of the main deities of Mesoamerican cultures. He was a mixture of bird and snake, whose name is a combination of the Nahuatl words "quetzal" meaning emerald feathered bird, and "coatl" meaning snake. The origin of this deity dates back to the Toltec culture and represented the duality between the physical condition of man, due to his snake body, and his spiritual part, due to his feathers. The original is in the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. The work was photogrammetrized by Artmonite on a visit to Mexico in 2024.
