Head of an Unwise Virgin
€3,50
This 3D model corresponds to the mold of a head of one of the figures that appear in the scene of The Last Judgment and the Wise and Unwise Virgins that cover the portals of the Strasbourg Cathedral on the West Facade. The scene recreates how some young women are tempted by the devil in the form of a seductive man who offers them some apples. The parable of the Wise and Unwise Virgins is associated with medieval representations of the Last Judgment, as it is often read as a warning to be prepared for the Second Coming of Christ. The original is a Gothic sculpture from the 13th century by an unknown author.
This model is in the public domain, CC0 license.
