Stele III
€3,50
This model belongs to a stele photogrammetrized by Artmonite at the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City in the summer of 2024. The content of this stele is believed to refer to Queatzalcoatl 's self sacrifice to create the fifth humanity. The upper part has the symbol 4 movement while in the lower part there is a trilobed heart, similar to those represented in Teotihuacan, from which three drops of blood flow. Although they are less clearly seen, on the sides there are scenes that allude to the man's emergence from darkness, to his creation and to his sustenance through corn. The original comes from the chamber of offerings of Structure A of Xochicalco and belongs to the Epiclassic Period (650 – 900 d.C.)
