Fragmentary Statue of a Pharaoh (Karnak)
Free
This model was created from an Egyptian statue of a male figure from the KarnakTemple complex, one of the largest religious centers of ancient Egypt, primarily dedicated to the god Amun. The sculpture represents a standing royal figure whose head and part of the lower body have been lost. Despite its fragmentary condition, it preserves characteristic elements of Egyptian pharaonic sculpture: the idealized torso, the ceremonial shendyt kilt, the hands positioned alongside the body, and a back pillar bearing hieroglyphic inscriptions that reinforces the stability of the figure and provides information about its original identity and function. The frontal and balanced posture conveys fundamental concepts of Egyptian kingship, such as stability, cosmic order (maat), and the connection between the monarch and the divine realm. The Karnak complex was expanded over more than two thousand years by numerous rulers, who built temples, obelisks, and hundreds of statues to honor the gods and preserve their memory. This model was created through photogrammetry by Artmonite during a visit to Egypt in 2026.
