Magma – Köhntarkösz Anteria
Free
This model is based on the cover of the album Köhntarkösz Anteria (2004) by the French band Magma. The work is part of the conceptual continuity initiated by Köhntarkösz (1974), and the composition and musical direction are by Christian Vander. Vander, the founder of the group, is the creator of the narrative universe set on the fictional planet Kobaïa. The work develops thematic material associated with the character Köhntarkösz through extended structures, motivic repetition, progressive development, and a combination of drums, electric bass, keyboards, and choral vocals in the Kobaïan language. The cover features a structure reminiscent of a tombstone or funerary stele on which the band’s logo is engraved, a graphic emblem of Magma since the 1970s, beneath which the letters “K.A.” can be seen. The model has been developed by Artmonite to include the band’s name in the same typography as on the album cover and to allow it to be printed as a single piece.
