Jethro Tull – Aqualung
€4,00
This model is taken from the cover of the album Aqualung by the British band Jethro Tull. The album was released on March 19, 1971, by the Chrysalis Records label, having previously been recorded at Island Studios in London, and produced by Terry Ellis and John Burns, with Ian Anderson as the main songwriter. The work contains eleven songs and is divided into two thematic blocks: one focused on marginalized characters and another on organized religion. The cover features a disheveled-looking person identified as the character “Aqualung,” inspired by a photograph taken by Ian Anderson and later illustrated by the artist Burton Silverman; the original design was released in a gatefold format and included the song lyrics. The album achieved wide international distribution and reached prominent positions on the sales charts in the United Kingdom and the United States.
