This model was created based on the cover art of the album Tarkus (1971) by Emerson, Lake & Palmer. This work is a key record in progressive rock, and its cover plays a fundamental role in its identity. It features Tarkus, a creature that is half armadillo and half tank, moving across an empty landscape created by William Neal. The figure of Tarkus represents war, power, and dehumanized technology, and visually introduces the concept of the musical suite that occupies the first side of the album, where the rise and fall of this creature is narrated.
