Michelangelo Buonarroti - David

This model recreates the monumental 14-foot-tall sculpture “David” by Renaissance master Michelangelo, that was created between 1501 and 1504 in marble. It is currently exhibited in the Gallery of the Academy in Florence and it is considered one of the masterpieces of art of all time. Its uniqueness lies in many aspects such as the perfection of its proportions, the excellence in the execution, its incomparable beauty as well as the fact that it is the first representation of David prior to his battle with Goliath in a gesture of concentration, a prelude to his victory.
