King Solomon - Freiberg Cathedral

The model represents King Solomon, a biblical character who stood out for his wisdom and whose story is told in the First Book of Kings. The original that has given rise to this model is found in the Golden Door of Freiberg Cathedral, a masterpiece of German Romanesque sculpture, executed around 1230. This work is part of a sculptural group consisting of 8 sculptures integrated into the building architecture.
