Virgin of Quintanaloranco

10,00

This model is based on a Romanesque Virgin statue discovered in the village of Quintanaloranco, in the province of Burgos, Spain. The original sculpture, dating from the 13th century, is carved in wood and decorated with polychrome paint and gilding (estofado). It measures 80 x 45 x 29 cm. The sculpture features simple, somewhat rough forms, as many of its details were painted rather than carved into the wood. This digital model was created by Artmonite from photographs kindly provided by a collaborator.
